Half a metre of raised earth marks the edge of a forgotten room on the south-facing slope of a small drumlin in Kilmaddaroe. The original entrance has vanished beneath grass and time, leaving only a modern gap where a laneway cuts through the western bank. People may have lived inside this circular fort before the field swallowed its doors, but the earth keeps that memory closed.

Situated on the S-facing slope of a small drumlin. This is a grass-covered circular earthen platform (dims 36.5m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by a scarp (H c. 0.55m) which is incorporated into a field bank N-ESE and has traces of an outer fosse in a band of rushes (Wth 1m) E-S. There is a modern entrance at NW with a NNW-SSE laneway outside the perimeter at W. The original entrance is not identified.
