Fairy fort in Killydoon, County Cavan: a raised circular area, 27.9m across inside a much-defaced low earthen bank, cut through by a modern roadway running ENE-WSW. The original entrance has become unrecognisable, yet the circle still reads as a made place rather than a random mound. People may have lived, hidden or marked time there before the road took the centre; if so, the fort gave up its clarity but kept its shape.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 27.9m) enclosed by a much-defaced low earthen bank. Modern roadway runs ENE-WSW through the internal area. Original entrance not recognisable.
