Killoghil holds a worn earthen ring where a medieval church and disused graveyard still mark the valley, proving the site remained alive long after its bank first rose. Cattle graze the shallow ditch today, unaware they walk across a boundary drawn centuries before them. The flat western gap may have invited people in or let rain escape, but either way the shape still directs the eye and holds the memory of repeated use.

Hachured on the 1842 and 1915 eds. of the OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). In good pasture, on level ground at E head of narrow, shallow valley enclosed by gently rising ground to N, E and S and with open ground falling gently to W. A poorly preserved subcircular rath (24.4m N–S; 21.9m E–W crest to crest) defined by a low round-topped earthen bank (Wth at base 4.1–6.8m; H 0.2–0.9m) except at W where the bank is flat topped and lowest (Wth at base 5.4m; H 0.1–0.3m). The interior has been dug out (max. D 0.5m) irregularly from WSW–ESE. A long low field clearance cairn and lone bush occupy the outer edge of the enclosing bank at E. The site of a disused graveyard (CL002-059----) is c. 250m to the WSW, approximately centrally located between this and two other raths (CL002-015---- and CL002-060----), which are c.410m W and c. 415m WSW. It is associated with local folklore referring to "fairy forts," which were often believed to be the homes of supernatural beings or ancient inhabitants.
