What is recorded here

Killinane holds a thirty-metre earthen ring on an east-facing slope, its steep interior bank rising nearly two metres above the shallow external ditch. The southern gap remains wide enough for a cart or a fleeing person, while two nearby cooking pits suggest the site sustained more than passive meditation. The land still smells of rain and old heat, inviting imagination rather than demanding belief.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.9m; ext. H 1.45m); external fosse (D 1.25m) S->WNW, shallow fosse to NE. Break (Wth 2m) in bank to S. Fosse cut into hill on upslope (W). Interior heavily overgrown; slopes steeply down to E. Fulacht fiadh (CO015-03402-) a short distance away to NW, with second fulacht fiadh (CO015-03404-) in adjoining field to E.
