What is recorded here

Killetragh in County Cork once held a levelled ringfort wide enough for thirty-one paces, tucked into Jerh. Buckley's land and the field called Lisheen. It has vanished from ordinary sight, leaving behind a name that sounds like a child's warning rather than a historical marker. Perhaps the earth took back what it borrowed, or perhaps people stopped looking because fairy forts do not wish to be found.

Recorded by Bowman (1934, 333) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 31yd) on Jerh. Buckley's land, in field called Lisheen. Exact location not known.
