Mud and memory still hold the shape of a house on the Killeenboy rise, even though quarrying bit through its west and north walls. The remaining scarps and shallow ditch mark a circle wide enough for a family, a herdsman, or a small defiant community to keep rain, raiders, and ordinary forgetfulness at a distance. A straight field line now cuts the ring in two, dividing townlands and damaging the shape, yet the earth still rises where people once drew a boundary around their own lives.

On a rise in undulating pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 35m) defined by a scarp (H 1.2m) with an external fosse (Wth c. 3m; D 0.3m), which is identifiable only from N-NNE-NE. It is divided into roughly equal portions by a modern ENE-WSW field boundary, which also marks the boundary between the two townlands.
