Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Killeen East is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Killeen East, County Roscommon, Ireland. It is a raised circular and grass-covered area defined by a wide scarp. The site sits at the crest of the north-facing slope of an east-west ridge. Michael Moore compiled the description in August 2016.
First identified in an unpublished archaeological LiDAR report (Davis, 2015) commissioned by Roscommon County Council as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the N5 Ballaghaderreen - Scramoge road development. It is situated at the crest of the N-facing slope of an E-W ridge. This is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by a wide scarp (at N: Wth 5m; H 0.6m) traceable SW-N-SE.
