Killeany Beg is an oval earthen ringfort in County Limerick, Ireland, where a low bank and shallow ditch still mark a home built before written memory. Cattle graze above the buried floor, unaware that people once drew a boundary around their own lives and called the inside theirs. The fairies may have taken the name, but the shape belongs to human hands: a small place made visible against the field.

In gently undulating pasture. Oval area (21.5m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.65m), with external fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.35m) SE->NNE, and low broad counterscarp bank at SW and SE (H 0.15m; Wth 3m). Interior slopes down gently towards centre and is under pasture.
