What is recorded here

In rolling pasture. An oval area (int. diam. c. 40m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.1m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.8m) except along the W arc. An external fosse (Wth 3.8m; D 1.1m) is evident, except along the E arc. The rath is divided off-centre to E by a NE-SW field boundary. According to local information, the W half of the interior was used as a burial ground (SL039-088003-) for famine victims. There is a Man-made underground passage (SL039-088002-) c. 20m to NE.
