What is recorded here

Killarriv holds a thirty-three-metre earthen ring on a grassy rise, its double banks and central ditch still drawing a clear circle despite field walls cutting through the east and west. The southeast gap invites entry rather than blocking it, while two hollows in the northern interior hint at a hidden passage beneath the soil. People may have lived inside, feared the dark below, or simply followed the old line of the banks when dividing land. The fort remains visible enough to walk, remember and wonder about.

On a rise in gently undulating grassland. Circular rath (diam. 33m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse and outer bank survive from E through S to NNE. There is a causewayed entrance gap (Wth 3m) at SE. Field walls cut through the monument at E and W. Two hollows in the N sector of the interior may mark the site of a possible Man-made underground passage (GA097-108001-).
