What is recorded here

Killaha holds a vanished ringfort on an oval knoll, now hidden beneath dense overgrowth and rough pasture. The earth swallowed the boundary, but the shape remains: thirty metres long, twenty wide, level enough to suggest a deliberate home. Perhaps someone lived there, raised a wall, and left the rest to the wood. The fairies kept the site, as local names often imply, turning human effort into mystery.

In rough pasture, on top of a knoll, with views restricted by a deciduous wood. In the 1990s a fort was recorded near Mrs Margaret O'Donoghue's house (CPCK 2002, vol. 4). This possible rath has been levelled but the summit of the knoll is level and roughly oval (c. 30m N-S; c. 20m E-W). It is covered by dense overgrowth.
