Kilcurly’s fairy fort is a twenty-seven-metre earthen ring with a one-metre scarped edge, shallow external ditch and a south-west entrance ramp, still visible in low pasture beside the access road. People may have lived there before field boundaries cut across it, but the earth has kept its shape while human names and uses changed around it. The clear circular outline and preserved entrance suggest a deliberate dwelling or marker, not a random mound, even though grass and forgotten fields have softened its edges.

In lowlying undulating pasture immediately S of access road to dwelling, 140m E of townland boundary with Ballycahane Upper. Surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a slightly raised circular shaped area (26.5m N-S; 27.1m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (H 1m) and an external fosse (Wth 3.6m; D 0.6m) from NE to NW, with entrance ramp (Wth 3.5m) at SW. A post-1700 field boundary runs radially from S and relic field boundary wall intersects scarp at N. Interior is level, heavily overgrown on margins and on E side.
