What is recorded here

Kilberrihert is a 48-metre earthen ringfort in County Cork where a hidden underground passage still cuts through the soil. People called it a fairy fort because the dark tunnel and unusual shape felt like a threshold into another world. It may have been a farmstead, a refuge or a boundary marker, but the buried passage suggests the land kept a secret even when the fields above became ordinary.

In arable land. Roughly oval area (diam. 48m) defined by earthen bank (H 1.5m) S->E; NE-SW field boundary to SE. Man-made underground passage (CO060-121002-) in interior.
