Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilberehert

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Kilberehert is a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort in County Kerry, Ireland, where the soil itself seems to remember the shapes of hands that moved it. People may have lived inside its ridge, watched the sky turn, and left behind only a shallow bowl in the ground. The fort still holds that much: a circle made human, then abandoned to rain, grass and story.
