Fairy fort in Guhard South is a univallate earthen ringfort with a 27.5m interior, bounded by fieldbanks and marked by a shallow fosse. Its bank rises 1.5m externally but only 0.5m above the inside, suggesting people once entered a hollowed circle rather than climbed a monument. The shape may have served as a dwelling, a boundary marker or a place for story, while the fairy name preserves the old habit of giving unusual rings to the unseen.

Internal diameter 27.5m N-S, 24m E-W Situated in the corner of a field, the site is bounded on the S and E by fieldbanks. This univallate rath consists of a circular interior enclosed by an earthen bank and fosse. The external height of the bank rises to 1.5m and above the interior it is .5m. The fosse, which is evident from the W through S to E, is c 2m wide and .4m below the height of the surrounding land. The above description is derived from C.
