What is recorded here
Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Grangerosnolvan Lower is an approximately circular platform, about 45m across, with a wide deep external fosse on a pasture rise in County Kildare. Quarrying has disturbed the northern edge, and a southeastern causeway was still noted in 1955. The broken circle still suggests a threshold: a place where people, or perhaps something older, crossed from the ordinary world into a hidden one.
Approximately circular platform (diam. c. 45m) with a wide, deep external fosse. Disturbed by quarrying at the N. Situated on a rise in pasture land. Described in 1955 as having a causeway at the SE (Danaher 1955, no. 297).
