Fairy forts are not fairy forts. They are human ringforts, misnamed after the dead stopped being remembered. This is one of them: a circular earth and stone bank in Grange East pasture, thirty-one metres across, with a six-metre gap to the north. The names changed. The shape did not. People lived inside that circle before anyone thought to call it magical.

In pasture, below crest of hill, on N-facing slope. Circular area (31m N-S) enclosed by overgrown earth and stone bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.2m). Entrance (Wth c. 6m) to N.
