Fairy fort in Gowlane South, County Cork: a 38.7-metre earthen ring, 2.2 metres high, with a shallow outside ditch, part stone-faced, entrance east and a large slab marking the south side. It stands in pasture now, interior ploughed smooth, yet its shape still reads as a made place rather than a hill mistake. People may have lived, herded or kept boundary there before the field took the middle back. The fairies, according to local story, never left; they only stopped answering names.

In pasture. Circular area (diam. 38.7m) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.2m); shallow external fosse. Bank stone-faced in parts. Entrance to E; large slab defines S side. Interior ploughed.
