No visible entrance, no straight edge, no owner's mark. A round white chamber waits beneath the Cavan soil, patient as a held breath. The fort is a chamber, not a chamber for chambered thought. It is a waiting room for the person it is naming. The boundary is complete, the floor is dry, the door is hidden. What is missing is not structure. What is missing is the one it was built for.

Raised circular area (int. dims. 35m N-S; 35.5m E-W) enclosed by a wide, low earthen bank and a fosse which survives only from S-W-N. Bank has been modified and incorporated into the field boundary except from NE-SE where it has been considerably denuded. Original entrance not recognisable.
