What is recorded here

Gorteenalomane held a thirty-metre earthen ring on a north-facing Cork slope until 1983, when ploughs erased the last visible trace. It may have been a human home, a boundary marker or a forgotten trading place, but the loss of evidence turns that certainty into speculation. The earth keeps no witness now, only the memory of a circle that once broke the grass.
