Fairy fort in Gneeves, a 42-metre earthen ring beside a live farmyard in County Cork. People dug a small mound in the southeast quadrant while hunting an underground passage, perhaps believing the bank hid more than soil. Animals still wear the earth, trees cling to the rim, and a shed leans against the eastern face, proving the fort remains a working neighbour rather than a dead relic.

In pasture, next to farmyard. Circular area (42m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.3m); shallow external fosse (D 0.3m) on SW side. Bank partially overgrown with trees and worn in parts due to animal activity. Farm shed built against external face of bank to ESE. According to local information, low mound (3m x 2m) in SE quadrant of interior caused by people looking for Man-made underground passage (CO041-01802-).
