Fairy fort in Gneeves, an earthen ringfort on an east-facing slope, still holds its shape in pasture. Its bank and scarp mark a small enclosed life, perhaps human, perhaps forgotten, while local story names it fairy. The overlap at the south-west suggests layers of building or loss, not a clean single event. To walk its edge is to measure how much of a home the land still remembers.

Depicted as hachured oval enclosure with bank overlapping to SSW on 1842 OS 6-inch map; on 1938 OS 6-inch map overlapping banks hachured to SW, open to NW with scarp shown NE->S. Roughly circular area (c. 32m x 27.8m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.8m) SSE->W; scarp (max. H 2.2m) NNE->SSE. Bank overlaps at SSW for c. 8m, separated by intervening fosse. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 542) as oval double-ramparted fort (36yd x 22yd) with one-sixth of each rampart remaining.
