No fairy ever touched Glenlara. Human hands built the dual banks, cut the fosses and dug the hidden passage beneath the reeds. The circle measures twenty-two metres across, holds its shape on a gentle west-facing slope, and still separates inside from outside after every forgotten century.

In grazing land, on gentle W-facing slope. Circular, slightly raised area (22.4m E-W; 22.3m N-S) enclosed by inner earthen bank (int. H 0.3m) NE->SE; scarp elsewhere; intervening fosse; outer earthen bank (max. H 0.7m); external fosse (D 0.1m) to NW. Banks grass covered; interior surface overgrown with reeds.
