What is recorded here

Mnemo is an earthen ringfort in Glanagow, County Cork. It is no longer visible because the earth has levelled and forgotten the shape of its walls. What remains is a absent circle, imaginesd through the gap where its boundary should be.

According to Power (1940, 99) 'there were formerly two small lioses, one circular, the other half-moon shaped, but both have been destroyed; the sites are now furze covered'. Exact locations not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
