Fairy fort in Garranes, County Cork, Ireland, is an earthen ringfort with a circular area about twenty-eight metres across on a northwest-facing slope. Its south-east edge is defined by a scarp more than two metres high, while the interior rises on the northwest side to compensate for the hillslope. The structure still stands in pasture, shaping the land rather than disappearing beneath it.
In pasture, on NW facing slope. Originally circular area (int. diam. 28m) defined SW->NE by scarp (H 2.2m). Interior raised on NW side to compensate for hillslope.
