No visible mound remains at Gardenfield, though local memory still calls the lost fort a fairy fort. The ground may have swallowed the stones or the story may have grown around the absence. A missing fort is not the same as a dead one. It is a shape that stopped answering, not a shape that stopped existing.

On N end of a ridge in grassland. Very poorly preserved overgrown circular ringfort (D 31m) defined by a bank and external fosse. The inner face of the bank is revetted with stone.
