Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Flemingstown (corkaguiny By., Ballinvoher Ed) is a D-shaped rath on the steep north slopes of Flemingstown mountain, its twenty-metre interior guarded by a two-metre earthen bank. The original entrance faces east-northeast, marked by a collapsed upright slab that once limited passage to roughly fourteen hundred millimetres. Cultivation ridges still cut across the level floor, suggesting people lived here long before the fairy label appeared. The western gap and field fence arrive later, human habits layering over an older shape.

Internal diam. 20m N-S, 18m E-W This roughly D-shaped univallate rath is located on the steep N slopes of Flemingstown mountain. The fairly level interior is enclosed by a single earthen bank which is a maximum of 2m high. A field fence skirts the W side of the site and the bank may be somewhat modified in this area. The gap at SW is a secondary feature. The original entrance faces ENE and was originally probably c. 1.4m wide. Its S side is marked by a large upright slab now partly collapsed. Because of disturbance and erosion of the bank, it is now possible to enter the site on either side of this stone which would be 1.28m high if erect. A paved pathway is visible for a very short distance inside the entrance. The interior is occupied by a series of N-S cultivation ridges. The above description is derived from J.
