Fairy fort in Faunmore, County Cork: a circular earthwork on the east shoulder of a hillock, preserved in pasture and marked by a two-metre scarp, a narrow western gap, and cultivation ridges crossing its interior. People may have lived there, fenced it, or left it to the fairies because it still resisted ordinary explanation.

In pasture, on E shoulder of hillock. Circular, slightly raised, area (27.8m N-S; 29.5m E-W) enclosed by scarp (H c. 2m) with low bank (int. H 0.3m) for short section to SE. Wall atop scarp SSW->NW and N->NE. Gap (Wth 2.1m) to W. External fosse to NW (D 0.4m). Cultivation ridges cross interior on N-S axis.
