Fairy fort in Farranastig, County Cork: a low earthen arc, about thirty metres across, rises from west to east in pasture locally called lios field. Ploughing makes the hidden ring appear, and the soil turns stonier inside the curve. People may have lived, buried, or danced there before the field swallowed the shape. The earth remembers what tongues forgot.

In pasture. Locally known as 'lios field'. Arc (C c. 30m) formed by low rise W->ENE. According to local information 'ring' clearly visible when ploughed and surface 'stonier'. Possible ringfort (CO062-058---) c. 180m to NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
