Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Eskerboy

Eskerboy holds a subcircular rath forty-one metres across, marked by a living bank where hawthorn trees still grow. The earth rises from the south through the west to the north, while a sharp scarp cuts the opposite side, creating a closed circle in the undulating grassland. A faint underground passage may still breathe beneath the soil, inviting wonder about the hands that shaped it. The fort remains visible and intact, waiting for someone to walk its edge and imagine the lives it contained.
