Mortals build walls to keep out what they fear. The fairies cut through stone and flesh to take what they want. A ring of earth on a hidden ridge may be the difference between a visited world and a broken one.

Situated on a summit at the W edge of a plateau. This is a raised circular grass-covered area (diam. 40m E-W; c. 38m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H c. 0.6m N-E) that is largely reduced to a scarp (H c. 1.8m at N to c. 3m at W) and hedge, with traces of an outer fosse most evident S-W-N (Wth c. 1.8m; ext. D 0.3m). A gap (Wth of base 2m) in the bank at NNE could be the original entrance.
