What is recorded here

Half a kilometre east of the main ringfort, two faded banks and a shallow ditch still trace a subcircular chamber where people once kept fire, tools or memory. Fields cut through it now, yet the inner slope remains sharp enough to suggest refusal: this was not a random heap of soil. Perhaps it was a hill fort for humans, perhaps a fairy fort for everyone else, and in Galway that ambiguity is the point.

Some 300m E of a ringfort (GA017-083----). Known locally as 'Hill Fort', (Neary 1914, 113, no. 123), this poorly preserved subcircular rath (NE-SW 45m, NW-SE 40m) is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. A field bank cuts the monument at ESE and SW, to S of which an inner scarp forms the enclosing element.
