What is recorded here

Dunaree holds a thirty-three metre earthen ring where a forgotten gate vanished beneath soil and time. The bank still rises above the Cavan field, marking a boundary drawn by human hands before memory failed. A narrow laneway cuts across its south-west edge, perhaps covering the ditch that once controlled entry. The fort keeps its shape while losing its name, waiting for someone to remember what it guarded.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 33m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank. Outside the bank from S-W is a modern narrow laneway which may represent the remains of an infilled fosse.
