Duarrigle holds a thirty-five metre earthen ring on an east-facing slope, its entrance gaping six metres wide toward the rising sun. The bank stands two metres high beside a shallow fosse, while the interior rises on the east side to defeat the natural tilt of the land. Bowman recorded a double rampart in 1934, though five-sixths of the outer wall had already levelled into the pasture. That much loss suggests human hands shaped the site repeatedly, perhaps clearing bushes or adjusting the bank long before surveyors arrived.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 35m) enclosed by heavily overgrown earthen bank (int. H 2.1m); external fosse (D 1.75m) SSE->NNE. Entrance (Wth 6m) to ESE. Interior raised on E side to compensate for hillslope; partially overgrown with bushes. Short length of field fence depicted skirting bank NNW->NE on 1905 OS 6-inch map; Bowman (1934, 183) describes fort, on C. O'Flynn's land, as double rampart with '5/6 of outer rampart levelled, remaining part c. 4 feet H'; possible Man-made underground passage (CO023-277---) in interior.
