Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Drumcreeghan stands on a Monaghan drumlin, its earthen bank and outer field bank forming a shallow circular trap for wind and memory. The eastern causeway still marks the true entrance, while the western gap admits modern feet and forgets the old direction. People may have lived inside, watched roads, or simply avoided the place because fairness and fury both like high ground.

Situated on top of a drumlin. This is a subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 38.5m E-W; 33m N-S) defined by a grass and scrub-covered earthen bank separated by a fosse from an outer field bank. There is a modern gap at WSW but the original entrance (Wth of base 1.9m) and causeway (Wth of top 2.4m; H 0.6m) is at E.
