What is recorded here
On top of the level summit of broad NE-SW orientated ridge in gently undulating pasture with a group of ring-barrows (TS065-024001- to TS065-024007-) visible on lower ground to the SE. Roughly ovoid slightly raised area (dims. 19m NE-SW; 16m NW-SE) enclosed by an earthen scarped edge (Wth 4m; ext. H 1.6m). The interior is level and clear of overgrowth except for thorn bushes along the edges. Known locally as a 'moat'.
