What is recorded here

Located at the SE and of the summit of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is a circular area (34m E-W; 31.5m N-S) planted with coniferous trees, defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 4m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1) with an external fosse (at SW: Wth of top 3.8m; ext. D 0.7m). There are several gaps in the bank, but the original entrance (Wth of top 3.7m) is at SSE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
