Conjoined raths in Drumacarrow, County Cavan, now wear a laneway through the middle where a fosse probably ran. The north-west circle measures thirty-seven metres across and the south-east thirty-four, both still holding their earthen banks and shallow ditches. People may have lived inside them, raised children there, and forgotten the names of every hand that built the walls. The road cut through later, but the two rings kept their shape, waiting for someone to walk the distance between them and imagine the lost house.

Conjoined raths now separated by a laneway which probably overlies a fosse. The NW rath comprises a raised circular area (int. diam. c. 37m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and traces of a fosse. From NNE-SE bank has been modified and incorporated into field boundary. It is accompanied by a modern narrow external trench. From SE-S-W and from NW-N-NNE fosse has been destroyed and replaced by a laneway. Original entrance not recognisable. The SE rath comprises a raised circular area (int. diam. c. 34m) enclosed by a wide, shallow fosse and substantial earthen bank. Original entrance at SE.
