Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed because people stopped remembering their own history. Dromanarrigle is no exception: a circular earthwork about thirty metres across, built by people, drawn on the 1842 map, then levelled by people again. The fairy label is not discovery, it is forgetting made vivid.
