What is recorded here

Dooneenmacotter holds a twenty-four-metre earthen circle on a south-facing slope, its western, northern and eastern banks still standing one metre high while a trackway cuts through the southern edge. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the gap in the southeast invited more imagination than the soil alone could explain. In daylight it is only pasture and a shallow ridge, but at dusk the completed circle may return in memory, a small room built by human hands that the land refused to forget.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (24m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m) to W, N and E. Trackway running E-W truncates S edge of enclosure. Gap in bank to SE.
