Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Derrylea Beg stands on a knoll in County Monaghan, Ireland, overlooking a small stream thirty metres west. Its earthen bank circles a grassy space thirty metres wide, marking a place where people once lived or excluded others long before written records. The causeway at the entrance suggests deliberate passage rather than accidental shape, inviting wonder about the hands that built it and the lives that moved through it.

Located on a knoll towards the bottom of a N-facing slope and overlooking a small S-N stream c. 30m to the W. This is a subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (int. dims 30.4m NE-SW; 26.2m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank with traces of an external fosse, most visible at S and N (Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 1.6m; ext. D 0.2m). An entrance (Wth of base 2.2m) with traces of a causeway at NNE might be the original entrance.
