Forty acres of Galway pasture once held an oval fort, broad enough for forty paces and deep enough for thirty, but farm buildings now cover the place where people lived. The earth forgot its own shape, yet the field still rises slightly, as if remembering the weight of walls that no longer show.

On a slight rise in level pastureland. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1930) as an oval enclosure (NW-SE c. 40m, NE-SW c. 30m). No visible surface trace survives and farm buildings now occupy the site. An earthwork (GA029-076----) lay 30m to SE.
