What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Daroge, County Longford: a 37m earthen ring in low pasture, its shallow bank and lost entrance leaving the whole place like a room whose door has been forgotten.
In low-lying pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 37m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3-3.5m; H 0.1-0.4m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded an external fosse and fragmentary traces of a possible outer bank, both of which have since been levelled. The original entrance is not recognisable.
