What is recorded here

Cragreagh is in County Limerick, Ireland. There is no longer any visible trace of the Cragreagh ringfort, because the earthworks have been levelled away. The field boundary beside it has also been removed. The circular fort and its marker are gone from the land, though they still exist in the story of the place.
In low-lying pasture, on gently undulating terrain. Monument, depicted on 1841 OS 6-inch map as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m), has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. Field boundary immediately to N, depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been removed. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
