In Cragmore, a D-shaped earthwork cuts through elevated pasture, its northern edge truncated by a straight field wall that replaced the original circular bank. The remaining earth-and-stone rim rises less than a metre, hiding a gentle dip scattered with loose stones beneath grazing feet. Thorn bushes protrude from the bank like broken teeth, marking the boundary between human ownership and forgotten life. The shape suggests a small domestic world, perhaps a family homestead or seasonal shelter, now reduced to a shallow scar in the grass.

In elevated pasture, on undulating terrain. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been truncated on N side by E-W field boundary. Now evident as D-shaped area (18.8m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.7m) E->W, and defined by straight field wall on N side. Thorn bushes protrude from bank.
