Fairy forts in Limerick are often shallow rings hidden under grass or overgrown bramble. In Coolygorman the ring is about twenty-five metres across, with a low earthen bank, a narrow outer ditch, and a gap at the northeast. Cattle have widened part of the ditch, and vegetation has taken back the interior. The fort is no longer a clear boundary between inside and outside, but it still marks a small circle set apart in ordinary pasture.

In level pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.25m) with external fosse (D 0.6m; Wth 1.6m). Most of enclosing element and all of interior is covered by dense overgrowth. From SW->NNE fosse waterlogged and widened by cattle erosion. Gap (Wth 2.4m) in bank at NE.
