What is recorded here

People may have lived, herded, hidden or worshipped there before the name changed its shape. The fairies took the story, as they do elsewhere, leaving the earth to keep the older part.

Gap in bank at ESE (Wth 2.1m). Level interior partially covered in overgrowth. Concentric with top edge of scarp, and c. 2m inside it, is arc of low stones, most prominent W->NW. Form S edge of enclosure stony bank (Wth 4.6m; H c. 0.5m) runs in SE direction for c. 31m where it abuts rock outcrop. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
