Fairy fort in Coolquane, County Cork: earthen ringfort, circular area 25.6m by 27m, on a steep north-facing pasture slope with a wide view northeast and northwest. Its bank has been partly levelled to half a metre in places, while the southern part rises to a metre and a half inside a field fence. People may have lived there, watched weather come off the sea, or kept animals within the curve; the earth still holds the shape of that choice.

In pasture, on steep N-facing slope, commanding extensive view to NW and NE. Circular area (25.6m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by earthen bank, partially levelled (H 0.55m) SW->ESE; incorporated into field fence (H 1.6m) to S.
