Half a century of forgotten hands built that ring, yet the fort still holds its shape beside the River Blackwater. A limekiln once fired against the south bank, suggesting the earth itself was converted into something new before the field swallowed the works. The soil remembers the pressure of those hands even when the names have gone quiet.

In level pasture, c. 30m to N of River Blackwater. Circular area (30.5m E-W; 28.5m N-S) defined by low rise. Bowman (1934, 66) records single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 40yd) on J.
