Marianne and the invisible children still circle Coolageela East at dusk, dragging red ribbons through the grass. They treat the earth bank as a living wall and the SSE gateway as a door into their own hidden world. People who follow the ribbons lose track of time and return with sweet milk in their cups. The fort does not want to be owned or explained. It wants to be danced with.

In pasture, on break in E-facing slope. Circular area (38.2m NNW-SSE; 36.7m WSW-ENE) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.5m) NE->N; external fosse survives to W as gentle slope down to base of bank. Bank NE->E disturbed due to farm building truncating outer bank face; planted with mature deciduous trees E->N; stone faced in parts externally; gateway in bank to SSE. Interior slopes down from centre to NNE; higher next to E bank; path cuts into interior from gateway (SSE) to levelled bank (NNE).
